Welcome to the 2021 - 2022 School year!
The PTO has been busy this summer. We’ve met once already to begin planning the Blue Devil Dash. This is the ONE event the PTO asks families include the community in a request for sponsoring kids with pledges for a fitness awareness event. Families are encouraged to participate that day, whether it be to pass out bracelets or the snack, cheer, or walk/run with their kiddo for support. What do students get for participating? 100% of the proceeds go directly to the PTO; to support Lawton Elementary School and programming for your children, they gain an understanding of the importance of exercise, an appreciation of competition, teamwork and school unity within Lawton. Every student receives a FREE t-shirt and snack on Dash Day, plus, every student has an opportunity to win fabulous prizes…details will be sent home the middle of September. This event will be held on Thursday, September 30th, 2021.
We’d love to see more parents/caregivers involved with PTO activities. There are often miscellaneous activities that can be done w/o attending a meeting, we understand everyone has busy schedules and we'd love any time you can spare – Activities could include: making phone calls, internet research, snacks & meals for the elementary staff, photo copies, sorting shirts or prizes for events, prepping display case material, etc. Please contact us at LawtonPTO1@gmail.com if you can assist.
