The Lawton Community Schools Operating Millage was overwhelmingly supported by voters, continuing to show the wonderful support that our community has for our students, staff, and schools. This approval by the voters allows us to maintain important programs and resources that our students depend on as we continue to strengthen and improve their educational experience.

We are less than a week away from a ballot item for Lawton Community Schools.
As a reminder, on August 4th 2026, voters of the Lawton Community School District will be asked to consider replacing the expiring, non-homestead operating millage, which the district has levied for many years. The proposal will allow Lawton Community Schools to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law.
