Thank you to our many presenters for Career Exploration today! Our TK and kindergartners got to learn about a Salon, veterinarian medicine, and from a pediatrician. Our first graders heard from a pharmacist, a florist, and a restaurateur. Second grade learned about beekeeping, nursing, and about being a librarian. Third grade learned about home health care, owning an electric company, and being a pharmacist. Fourth grade learned about EMS, sports management, owning a foundry, along with braces and retainers. A reminder to our families that this week we have full days of school on Monday and Tuesday. School is closed Wednesday through Friday and resumes on Monday, December 2nd. We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Holiday Food Drive:
Lawton Elementary will be partnering with St. Paul's United Methodist Church for our annual Holiday Food Drive from Monday, November 18th - Friday, December 6th. Any non-perishable canned and boxed food donations will be accepted to support local families, but a few suggestions for donations were given: canned fruits/vegetables, boxed cereal, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, cake or brownie mixes. Please drop items off at the elementary office. Thank you in advance for your donations!
Reminder: Friday 11/15 is a half day. Student may attend Tech Center if they provide their own transportation. Check your email for details about exams and transportation changes for the squirrel bus route tomorrow.
Annual Lawton Lions Club Thanksgiving Dinner is Sunday, November 24, 2024, 11am-2pm
at The Old Winery (formerly The Lawton Community Center). Dine-in or Carry-out only.

Welcome Back Lawton Community Schools! The floors are polished, the busses are warmed up, and the kitchens are ready with breakfast and lunch free of charge for all students. Remember that we are starting a full day of school on Monday, August 26. We are planning on a great year! Go Blue Devils!
