Attention Squirrel Bus Families:
The After school / PM trip for the Squirrel bus will be canceled Monday, November 10th. Unfortunately families have to make alternative plans to make sure their child is transported home from school. Families of Elementary students please communicate with your child’s teacher about how your child will be transported home.
If your family has significant circumstances and you cannot find an alternate option for afternoon transportation tomorrow you can contact our Transportation Director Jim Turner / jturner@lawtoncs.org and we can do our best to try and help.
We do apologize for the inconvenience of this change, we are continuing to attempt to obtain sub bus drivers in an effort to minimize the impact felt by our families. If you know of anyone who may be interested in learning to be a Bus Driver, please have them email jturner@lawtoncs.org.
Communication has also been sent directly to Squirrel Bus Families.

Congratulations to Chrystal Sellon!
Chrystal Sellon is the recipient of the 2024 Van Buren ISD PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) Excellence in Education Award due to her exceptional care and support of our students.
"Chrystal can be counted on to go above and beyond to support students with their medical needs. It is widely believed that Chrystal joined the Lawton team just when they needed her most. Chrystal is patient and kind. Both students and their family members are truly grateful and feel that she is the "perfect person" to meet their needs."
Lawton Community Schools wishes to thank Chrystal Sellon for everything she does to improve the lives of our students.

The 4th Grade Chess Club Crew concluded their game time together today! Thank you to the 4th grade teachers for providing the 4th graders this opportunity to learn how to play chess and enjoy some quality time together once a week after school!
