We want to share our sincere thanks and appreciation for your ongoing belief in Lawton Community Schools and your love for Lawton.

We are less than a week away from a ballot item for Lawton Community Schools.
As a reminder, on August 4th 2026, voters of the Lawton Community School District will be asked to consider replacing the expiring, non-homestead operating millage, which the district has levied for many years. The proposal will allow Lawton Community Schools to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law.
The infographic and frequently asked questions should help you understand more about the operating millage proposal on the upcoming ballot.
If you have any questions please contact Superintendent Ben Bandfield at bbandfield@lawtoncs.org or 269.624.7901
Thank you for your continued support of Lawton Community Schools.

This year, to spotlight our amazing LMS Staff we have asked them to think back on their time as a middle schooler and give their past self some advice. Our teachers pass on this life experience to their students every day and we'd love to share it with all of you!

Our teachers show up each day with an excitement for teaching and learning, creating a rich environment for our students! From engaging lessons that involve community guests to enriching field trips, our teachers work tirelessly to inspire learning!

Big shout-out to Mr. Williams and Mr. Armstrong, two principals who lead with kindness, keep the expectations high and create an atmosphere of positivity. It’s a balance that builds trust, drives growth, and shows up in the day-to-day experience for students and staff alike.
We appreciate the impact they make—every single day.
