Academic achievement is of the utmost importance at Lawton High School. On Thursday, October 23rd we will hand out our annual Academic Awards to all individuals showing academic excellence during the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Criteria for these awards is as follows:
At each year end the student must have earned a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the year's course work. The student must have received no individual grade lower that a C-minus. Senior Awards will be determined on the basis of second trimester grades.
All courses for which a letter grade is given shall be counted in determining the grade point average of this award. However, the student must be enrolled in at least three (3) courses to be eligible for that year.
The Board shall provide the following awards to qualifying students:
First Year = Academic Letter
Second Year = Academic Medal
Third Year = Academic Pin
