Mr. Walter Hitchcock is planning to end his tenure on the Board of Education when his term is up in December. His service to the district began when he joined Lawton Community Schools in 1971. He has served in many roles including Teacher, Coach, Principal, Bus Driver, Board Member, Board President, and much more. He made sense of Math for many, volunteer tutor for many, and an absolute advocate for doing what is right for the students at Lawton Community Schools.

We celebrated Mr. Hitchcock at our End of Year Luncheon where current staff members who were his former students joined him for a picture.

We would like to thank Mr. Hitchcock for 55 year of service, loyalty, and commitment to Lawton Community Schools.
