Lawton Middle School

On behalf of Ms. Rotzien and myself (Mr. Patterson), I would like to congratulate the top 15 spellers for their effort and their willingness to get up in front of their peers to compete. This was the 50th annual Lawton Middle School Spelling Bee and, like past bees, it was a great competition to the very end. The spelling bee is an important tradition at Lawton Middle School. This competition is a great way for our students to increase their academic vocabulary, which will serve them in school and beyond. We wish the top three spellers (Izzy W, Quinn W, and James B) good luck at the regional competition, in February, at Lake Michigan College. We know you will make us proud!
