Lawton Hall of Fame

The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize alumni and other individuals associated with the Lawton Community Schools for their achievements and contributions to the District and to society. Lawton Community Schools is pleased to announce the 2018 Hall of Fame class. The LCS Hall of Fame celebrates our history by recognizing individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to our schools or have demonstrated outstanding achievement in athletics, academics, career or community work. This year’s inductees are:

  • Earl Lawson – U.S. Air Force Sergeant, founded Lawson Oil Company, 40-year member of Lawton Fire Department.
  • Bill Marks – Signed professional baseball contract with Washington Senators, varsity coach in 7 sports over a 37 year teaching career, earned 15 varsity letters and all-conference honors in 4 sports.
  • Donald Russeau – LHS band director in 1950s.
  • 2001 Cross Country team - won Division 4 Regional and State Championship.

All inductees and / or their family representatives will be inducted on Friday, February 2. A reception will be held at Lawton High School cafeteria followed by the induction ceremony between the girls' and boys' basketball games.

The entire community is encouraged to attend these events and honor these outstanding Blue Devils.
